About Us
the potter
I first thought I would like to be a potter when Mr. Rogers took his young viewers to a potter's studio where I witnessed the magic that occurs with clay and a potter's wheel.
After receiving a BFA in Ceramics from Utah State University, I continued on my creative journey; sometimes as a potter, sometimes a photographer and sometimes as a knitwear designer, sometimes a bakery owner...always a busy mother.
In 2020 I finally finished building my studio and gallery space behind my house and established Three Cedars Pottery Studio in Spring City, Utah. I have always been ecclectic in my style and taste, so I work with light and dark stoneware clays and porcelain. I also employ several techniques and love learning new processes
I love to have visitors, and I have a small shop/gallery next to the studio, so if you ever find yourself in Spring City, text me and let me know you are stopping by.
The pots
Our pottery is a variety of hand thrown porcelain and stoneware. Each piece is individually designed and decorated in several styles including sgraffito, stamping, underglaze painting and monoprinting techniques. All pieces are food safe, dishwasher safe and can be used in the microwave.
